Nature and Photography of the Kumaon Hills, India
04 – 18 March 2017 Led by Richard Baines & Steve Race
Kumaon is a mountainous district of Uttarakhand in northern India. Famed for its hill stations, its natural landscapes, and its wildlife, as well as its historic and cultural sites, this fascinating region has been drawing visitors for centuries. All of them fall in love with what they find.
Indus Experiences has created this special programme for those who want ample time to observe and appreciate the natural world, as well as to capture it on camera. Ornithologist and ecologist Richard Baines, and wildlife photographer Steve Race, will together lead this intimate group tour, with highlights including birding at Jungle Lore Lodge, hiking on the Binsar Estate, and game drives and an elephant ride in the Corbett Tiger Reserve.
