Location: Colombo
Tuk Tuk Colombo City Safari
Excursion Duration: 4 hrs
The quickest, most fun way to see Colombo is by racing down the streets in a Tuk Tuk. The City Safari will take you to some of the hottest seasonal attractions and sights while you cruise down bustling streets of Colonial Colombo. Afterwards, it’s time to stop for a bite to eat from the best of the local street vendors, before experiencing more of the wonderful sights, sounds and foods while absorbing the friendly atmosphere that exists throughout Colombo.
Location: Galle
Magic & Mystery of the Galle Fort with Shanjei
Excursion Duration: 2.5 hrs
The Galle Fort is a visual metaphor for Sri Lankan history. Ancient Sri Lankan culture collides with colonial architecture in ways that can only be described as mystical. The session covers colonial history, its effect on our Sri Lankan people, the comedy that surrounds colonization, a trip into the museum of the biggest antique collector in the fort, a brief brush with craft and trade and all this ends with the perfect cup of Sri Lankan Tea presented by Fort’s most ardent tea maker. Your host will tell you about the little nooks and crannies that make Galle Fort less a fort and more a home for its many residents about the many cultures that mingle seamlessly within the fort’s confines. Be prepared for you tour to be interactive and fun with decidedly less history and a lot more story.
Location: Tissamaharama or Yala
