Tailor-Made Pakistan
Indus Experiences launches Tailor-Made Pakistan
Renowned for delivering tailor-made journeys with a strong cultural and historical focus, Indus Experiences continues to innovate with off-the-beaten-track travel products that offer immersive, meaningful adventures.
The recent addition of Pakistan, as part of Indus Experiences’ 30th anniversary celebrations, further strengthens the company’s commitment to showcasing the rich diversity of the region, and follows a growing demand for authentic experiences in destinations untouched by mass tourism.
From ancient civilisations and Mughal architecture to snow-capped mountains and vibrant bazaars, Indus Experiences’ Pakistan itineraries are designed to offer deep insights into the country’s history, culture, and natural beauty. Pakistan is also an underrated culinary gem with a tradition of exceptional hospitality.
Here is a preview of our three new sample itineraries, plus an addition to our portfolio of expert-led, small group Earth Sciences tours:
-Fabled Shangri La – Valleys of Pakistan – A tailor-made journey taking in the highlights of Islamabad; the Swat Valley and hill stations; an exciting and dramatic road-trip into the mountains on the Karakoram Highway, often said to be the 8th wonder of the world, via Chilas and Hunza, Gilgit and Shigar, with cultural visits and experiences en route.
-Northern Pakistan (April – October) – A seasonal itinerary through Pakistan’s rugged north, best explored in the summer months when the mountain passes are open. Unique selling points include scenic drives and treks into the Karakoram, Himalayas and Hindu Kush mountain ranges; visits to ancient Buddhist sites and mountain villages; discovering traditional food, handicrafts, Hunza and Kalash heritage with the locals.
-Highlights of Pakistan (November – March) – A tailor-made itinerary offering a deep dive into the landscapes and culture of the south, ideal for the winter months when the weather is cooler. Highlights include the archaeological wonders of Mohenjo-daro and Harappa; the Mughal grandeur of Lahore, and the mystical desert forts of Bahawalpur. Visits to British-era war cemeteries are also possible.
-The Karakoram: Valleys of Northern Pakistan – A special interest small group tour led by a professional geologist, from 9 to 23 October 2026.
