A Tale Of Two Cities Tailor-made

Most people know that the contemporary capital of Thailand is Bangkok, which is affectionately referred to as Krung Thep by Thai people.  However, what many people may not be aware of is that in the past the capital of the Kingdom of Siam was actually a city called Ayutthaya.  Ayutthaya, which is inland from Bangkok on the Chao Phraya River, served as its capital from 1350 to 1767 before it was relocated downstream to Bangkok and the purpose of our 9 day Capital To Capital Break is to weave and connect the two together by starting the trip in Ayutthaya where you will be shown key historical and cultural attractions and will indulge on a lunch river cruise around Ayutthaya Island on a rice barge converted into a floating restaurant before heading back to Bangkok the next day where you will be able to explore its many treasures at your own will during the rest of your trip.
