Day 1 : To Kuala Lumpur

Depart London Heathrow on Malaysian Airlines flight to Kuala Lumpur.

Day 2 : Kuala Lumpur

On arrival transfer by private vehicle to the Park Royal Hotel for two nights. B

Day 3 : City Tour & Fireflies

This morning you will be taken for an orientation tour of the city covering the major historical landmarks. Later take a boat trip at night to see a amazing display of fireflies at Kampung Kuantan B

Day 4 : To Sandakan

Morning fly to Sandakan. Rest of the day free at leisure or join the optional tour - Guided Night Walk to experience walking the dark to spot animals or insects. Overnight at Nature Resort B, D

Day 5 : To Selingan Island

Catch the morning boat to Selingan Island. Rest of the day is at leisure until a night ranger led expedition to spot the turtles laying eggs on the beach. Transfer the eggs to the hatchery and if there are young turtle hatchlings, an opportunity to observe the release of baby turtles to the open sea. Overnight at Selingan Island Chalet. B, L, D

Day 6 : To Sandakan & Sukau

After breakfast take a boat back to Sandakan and transfer to the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Center to witness feeding time. Take an hour boat cruise up to the Lower Kinabatangan River. This is a wonderful journey of discovery which starts from the waters of Sulu Sea of Sandakan Town through a magnificent scenery of the Mangrove Forest. Check in at Abai Jungle Logde. Late in the afternoon, you will be experiencing a cruise to search for wildlife until the sunsets After dinner, again experience the "Jungle at night" at our nature boardwalk to search for birds, snakes, insects and other wildlife with the nature guide. Overnight at Abai Jungle Logde B, L, D

Day 7 : Sukau

Wake up by the calls of nature, free at leisure at our nature boardwalk. After lunch, cruise up river to Sukau village in search of primates especially the wild orang utan, birds, pygmy elephant and other wildlife. Arrive Sukau, check in at Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge. Late afternoon, take another river cruise to Menanggul River, a small tributary of the Kinabatangan. B, L, D

Day 8 : To Kota Kinabalu

After breakfast transfer back to Sandakan to catch the afternoon flight to Kota Kinabalu.
Seven nights at the Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort and Spa. B

Day 9 -14 : Kota Kinabalu

Spend the day at leisure: playing on the beach, splashing in the pool, and enjoying unhurried time together B

Day 15 : To London

Transfer to the airport to board the morning Malaysian Airlines flight back to London via Kuala Lumpur. B
