Saturday 18 September
Morning arrival in Delhi. Afternoon sightseeing of Old Delhi including a fascinating cycle rickshaw ride to the Jama Masjid via the bustling Chandni Chowk. Then visit Mahatma Gandhi’s cremation site. Two nights at Hotel Royal Plaza or similar.

Day 2: New Delhi Sightseeing
Sunday 19 September
Morning sightseeing of dynamic New Delhi including the impressive Humayun’s Tomb, Qutab Minar and India Gate. Afternoon at leisure. B

Day 3: To Dholpur
Monday 20 September
Morning drive to Dholpur. Stay at the Raj Niwas Palace which still reflects the magnificence of the Rajasthani architecture. Two nights at Raj Niwas Palace. B

Day 4: Dholpur Sightseeing
Tuesday 21 September
Morning sightseeing of Dholpur, including Muchchhkund, a pilgrimage site, the 18th C. Chopra Shiv Temple and Shergarh Fort. Afternoon boat safari on Chambal river to Chambal sanctuary. B

Day 5: To Agra and Agra Sightseeing
Wednesday 22 September
Morning drive to Agra. Afternoon explore Agra Fort built by successive Mughal rulers. Visit the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah. Overnight at Crystal Sarovar Premier or similar. B

Day 6: To Jaipur: Fatehpur Sikri, Abhaneri Stepwell
Thursday 23 September
Breath-taking sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal. After breakfast drive to Jaipur, via the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri built by the Emperor Akbar. Also visit Abhaneri Stepwell built in 800 AD. Two nights at Hotel Diggi Palace or similar. B

Day 7: Jaipur Sightseeing
Friday 24 September
Morning drive to Amber Fort ascending to the hilltop Fort in a Jeep, to explore the superb murals, frescoes, paintings, carvings and mirror work. Afternoon tour the extraordinary Astronomical Observatory, Palace of Winds and City Palace Complex and Museum. B

Day 8: To Delhi
Saturday 25 September
Morning at leisure. Afternoon drive to Delhi. Overnight at Ibis Aerocity or similar.
