Day 1 : To Delhi

Fly direct from London Heathrow to Delhi on Emirates Airlines.

Day 2 : Delhi (With Food Tour)

Morning arrival in Delhi. Afternoon enjoy sightseeing of Old Delhi including an exhilarating cycle rickshaw ride to the Jama Masjid through the bustling Chandni Chowk and it’s back roads, once the centre of the city Shah Jehanabad in the Mughal times. Finally continue onto the Raj Ghat-Mahatma Gandhi’s cremation site. Continue on to your evening Old Delhi Food Walk tour (4 to 5 hours): Shahjahanabad, known as Purani Dilli, was a city established by the Mughal emperor Shahjahan in 1648. It was considered a gem of the empire and continues to be the heart of the Capital as well. The average middle class urban Delhi resident has acquired a global palate and is familiar with a range of cuisines from across the world. Yet, notwithstanding the profusion of European, Asian, American and Mediterranean food options, locals keep returning to Old Delhi aka Purani Dilli for their fill of soul-satisfying food. Authentic Old Delhi food is best enjoyed in its original setting, in the noisy labyrinthine by-lanes of Chawri Bazaar and Chandni Chowk and Jama Masjid, where a golden Gurudwara share space with historic mosques. Return to your hotel.


Day 3 : Delhi

Morning sightseeing of dynamic New Delhi including the visit to impressive Humayun’s Tomb, Qutab Minar and the India Gate. Also drive past the Parliament Buildings & President’s House. Afternoon at leisure. B

Day 4 : To Agra

Early morning transfer to Nizamuddin railway station to board your train to Agra. Meeting, assistance on arrival and proceed for your sightseeing tour of Agra visiting the Agra Fort- seeing the many varied architectural styles of the complex, built by successive Mughal rulers & the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula.


Day 5 : To Jaipur

Early morning enjoy a breath-taking sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal to watch the sun slowly caress the white marble, awakening the day and distant memories.

After breakfast drive to Jaipur, en-route visiting the deserted Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri. Also visit the Abhaneri Stepwell built in 800 AD (No guide service at Abhaneri).


Day 6 : Jaipur

Morning drive to Amber Fort where you will ascend this hilltop Fort in a Jeep. Afternoon sightseeing of Jaipur city visiting the Palace of Winds, City Palace Complex and the Jantar Mantar Observatory.

Day 7 : To Mumbai

Morning transfer to the airport to board your flight to Mumbai. Meeting, assistance on arrival and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon sightseeing of Mumbai includes major sites of Mumbai City including the Prince of Wales Museum, Dhobi Talao and Crawford Market. Also see the busy Mumbai VT Railway Station (now renamed Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. B

Day 8 : Mumbai

Morning embark on diversified Elephanta Caves tour, signifying the glorious abode of Lord Shiva. Consisting of seven caves on the Arabian Sea, it stands as an epitome of Hindu cave culture and is a testimony to a civilization that has long disappeared. Begin the tour with a drive to the Gateway of India, from where you board your boat from the harbour and take an hour-long jovial ferry ride to the fascinating Elephanta Caves. Witness the magical beauty of Mumbai from the sea & enjoy the panoramic views as you approach Elephanta Island famous for The Elephanta Caves, UNESCO World Heritage site. Not only is the island host to a bounty of nature in the form of lush plantations of palm, mango and tamarind trees, it is also home to ancient cave temples that have been carved out of rock. Relive history, find traces of a long-lost civilization and rediscover the charm and grandeurs of the past. After a splendid cave exploration experience, get back to the ferry and sail back to the Gateway of India.

Afternoon explore the local markets including sightseeing of Chor Bazaar - known for antiques, though nowadays much of them are reproductions. The main area of activity is Mutton St, where shops specialise in these ‘antiques’ and miscellaneous junk. Dhabu St, to the east, is lined with fine leather goods. B

Day 9 : To Cochin

Morning transfer to the airport to board your 2 hour flight to Cochin.

Meeting, assistance on arrival and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 10 : Cochin

Morning enjoy sightseeing of Cochin visiting the Jewish Town & Synagoguge, the Dutch Palace, St Francis Church and Chinese fishing nets. Evening witness Kathakali Dances and see the interesting process of the make up for dances by the artists. Arrive early to witness the painstaking task of applying paintwork on artist’s body). B

Day 11 : To Alleppey (Cruise backwaters & Houseboat Stay)

Morning drive to Muhamma boat jetty (approximately 02 hrs driving time) to board Kettuvalam (houseboat) for cruising on the backwaters of Kerala. The backwaters are a maze of bridges and canals set in a labyrinth of backwater channels laced with endless stretches of lakes and lagoons. Over 900 km of this intricate network is navigable. This is the best place to explore the unspoilt countryside of Kerala. Overnight night in an air-conditioned Spice Coast AC Houseboat by CGH Earth. B, L, D


Day 12 : To Mararikulam

After breakfast disembark from the houseboat and drive to Mararikulam (approximately 45 minutes driving time). Check-in at The Marari Beach Resort for 4 nights (Garden Villa). Afternoon at leisure. B
