This 16-day tour takes you through three countries, each with its own unique character . Uzbekistan’s most famous cities of Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva, filled with remarkable architecture, warm hospitable people and unique culture. Contrasts of modern Ashgabat and ancient Merv in Turkmenistan, once a center of trade and craftsmanship. Finally Kyrgyzstan made famous for its mountains and lakes, the open-air museum of petroglyphs in Cholpon-Ata dating from the Bronze age are the remarkable remnants of the Scythian Empire.

Day 1 :

Depart London Heathrow for Tashkent with Uzbekistan Airlines

Day 2 : Explore Tashkent

Arrive Tashkent early in the morning. Meeting, assistance on arrival and transfer to your hotel. Check-in at The Grand Mir Hotel or similar for 2 nights
Afternoon sightseeing in the capital of Uzbekistan, the biggest city in Central Asia. Visit Old City part of Tashkent with Khast-Imom Complex where the world-famous Quran of Caliph Uthman – Ottoman has been preserved. In Khast-Imom, visit Madrasah of Barak-Khan, Tilla Sheikh Mosque, Mausoleum of the Saint Abu Bakr Kaffal Shashi and the Islamic Institute of Imam al-Bukhari. Explore Chor-Su Bazaar. Then take a ride on Tashkent Metro to city center with Amir Temur Square, Independence Square and Applied Arts Museum. B

Day 3 : Train to Samarkand & Samarkand Sightseeing

Early morning transfer to Tashkent train station to board fast going train “Afrosiyob” departs at 07:30. Scheduled arrival is at 09:40. Met on arrival and proceed for sightseeing tour in Samarkand. Visit spectacular Registan Square, remains of Bibi Khanum Mosque, Siyob Bazaar, Ulugbek Observatory, Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis and Gur Emir Mausoleum – authentic shrine of Tamerlane. Two nights stay at The Grand Samarkand Superior hotel or similar. B

Day 4 : Samarkand

Continue your Samarkand sightseeing: visit Afrosiab Museum and the Tomb of Saint Daniel. Then drive to Konigil village to explore a traditional way of making Samarkand paper from mulberry. Enjoy free time with the car and driver at your disposal after sightseeing tour. B

Day 5 : Bukhara & Shakhrisabz

Morning drive to Bukhara, en-route visit Shakhrisabz. Visit Mausoleum of Jakhongir in Dor-us Siodat Memorial Complex, remains of Ak-Saray Palace, Dor-ut Tilavat Ensemble with Kok-Gumbaz Mosque and burial vault of Tamerlane’s father. Afternoon continue driving to Bukhara. Two nights stay at The Omar Khayam Hotel or similar. B

Day 6 : Bukhara

Enjoy a walking tour with a guide in Old City. Visit Lyabi Hauz Ensemble, Magoki-Attori Mosque, Chor-Minor Madrasah, trade domes, Kalyan Minaret, Kalyan Mosque and Miri-Arab Madrasah, Ulugbek and Abdulazizkhan madrasahs, Ark Fortress, Bolo-Khauz Mosque, Ismail Samani and Chashma-Ayub mausoleums. B

Day 7 : To Mary

After breakfast drive to Farab/Alat border point. Go through border formalities on both checkpoints. Cross 1.5 km neutral zone (transportation may not be available). Meeting with guide and drive to Mary via Turkmenabat town. Overnight at Hotel Mary. B

Day 8 : To Ashgabat

After breakfast drive to Ancient city of Merv (UNESCO), discover historical park with Sultan Sanjar Mausoleum, Large and Small Gyz Gala, Erk Gala, Gyaur Gala, Keshk Fortresses, Muhammed ibn Zaid mausoleum and others. Return to Mary. City tour with visits History museum, Central bazaar and Juma mosque. Transfer to domestic airport for evening flight to Ashgabat (ETD 1900h ETA 1940h). Met on arrival and transfer to your hotel. Two nights stay at The Nusay or Archabyl Hotel. B

Day 9 : Ashgabat

After breakfast full day city tour with visits Ahalteke horse stables, Independence Park, Neutrality Arch, National museum, Monument of Constitution, Ferris Wheel, Nissa (UNESCO) and Turkmenbashi mosque-mausoleum. After dinner city by night tour with visit of Wedding Palace panoramic viewpoint. B

Day 10 : To Khiva

Transfer to the airport for morning flight to Dashoguz (ETD 0800h ETA 0850h). Upon arrival drive to historical site Kunya Urgench (UNESCO), explore historical park with Kutlug Timur minaret, Mausoleum Turabek Khanum, Mausoleum Tekesh, Mausoleum Il Arslan Caravan-saray gateway and etc. Return to Dashoguz and transfer to BP Shavat. Go through border formalities on both checkpoints. Cross 1.5 km neutral zone (transportation may not be available). Meet with your Uzbekistan driver & drive to Khiva. Overnight at The Hotel Malika Kheivak or similar B

Day 11 : Khiva

Today you will visit Ichan-Kala Fortress which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The tour features visits to Mukhammad Amin Khan Madrasah, Mukhammad Rahimkhan Madrasah, Kalta Minor, Juma Mosque, Toshkhovli Palace, Pakhlavan Makhmud Mausoleum. Try yourself at climbing Islom Khodja Minaret, the highest minaret in Uzbekistan. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Old Khiva in Kunya-Ark.

In the evening you will be transferred to Urgench airport for flight to Tashkent. Met on arrival and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at The Grand Mir Hotel or similar.

Day 12 : To Bishkek

Afternoon transfer to the airport to board your flight to Bishkek. Met on arrival and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at The Bishkek Plaza hotel. B

Day 13 : Bishkek

Morning sightseeing of Bishkek includes visiting Victory Square, Oak Park with stone sculptures, Old Square, The House of Parliament, Main Ala Too Square, White House, Manas Hero Square, City Hall and many other interesting places. Also, you will visit our famous Asian Bazaar where you will make a lot of colorful photos. Afternoon drive to Burana Tower. On the way visiting Stone Warriors - Balbals. After an interesting excursion and climbing on the top of the Tower drive to the most famous place of Kyrgyzstan - Issyk Kul Lake. You can swim in the lake and to see mountains around you with snow white peaks! Overnight at The Karven Issyk kul or similar resort. B

Day 14 : To Karakol

After breakfast a short trekking to see petroglyphs. You can see a panorama view of the Issyk Kul Lake from this place - people were thinking that it was the middle of the world. All these pictures were depicted on the southern side of stones. People believed that in this case the God of the Sun will see their messages. Also, beside the pictures there are big stones put in a circle way to make sacrifices.

Drive to Karakol. In the afternoon start city tour in Karakol: Russian Orthodox Church, Dungan Muslim mosque and local bazaar. Overnight in a Guesthouse.

Day 15 : Bishkek

After breakfast drive to Jeti Oguz gorge (Seven Bulls) famous for its red rocks formations. Panoramic views of the gorge from Broken Heart Mountain. On the way you will visit one of the most interesting families in Kyrgyzstan - the family of Eagle Hunters, only a few remain in villages that continue this ancient way of hunting. Overnight at The Bishkek Plaza or similar. B
