Day 1: Arrival in Ha Noi

Morning arrival then met and transferred to Silk Path Boutique Ha Noi for two nights.

Accommodation: Silk Path Boutique – Ha Noi

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour

Morning guided tour of the Ho Chi Minh Quarter - Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh’s house and One Pillar Pagoda. Visit the Temple of Literature and infamous ‘Hanoi Hilton’ prison. B, L

Day 3: To Ha Long with Boat Cruise

Early start to Halong City to board the Bhaya Classic Cruise boat. Considered Vietnam’s greatest natural wonder, Halong Bay boasts over 3,000 islands rising dramatically out of the turquoise sea. Overnight onboard the Bhaya Classic Cruise. B, L, D

Day 4: To Hue via Ha Noi

Midday disembarkation in Halong and then drive back to Ha Noi airport for flight to Hue. Two nights stay at Moonlight Hue. B

Day 5: Perfume River Cruise, Tombs & Citadel

Morning leisurely boat ride down the Perfume River, stopping at the iconic Thien Mu Pagod. Continue to the Imperial Tomb of Minh Mang complex of courtyards, pavilions and Temples. B, L

Day 6: To Hoi An and walking

Morning transfer to Hoi An via Hai Van Pass (Hai Van Tunnel). Afternoon walking tour of Hoi An visiting the Japanese covered bridge, Sa Huynh Museum, Tran Family Chapel and a lantern making workshop. Two nights at Hoi An - The Beach - Little Boutique Hotels & Spas. B

Day 7: Hoi An

Day at leisure. B

Day 8: To Ho Chi Minh (Saigon)

Transfer to Da Nang airport for flight to Saigon. Rest of the day at leisure. Three nights stay at Paragon Hotel Saigon. B

Day 9: Excursion to Cu Chi tunnels and Saigon City tour

After breakfast drive to the fascinating Cu Chi military tunnel networks. Afternoon city tour including Dong Khoi Street, past the Rex Hotel, Ho Chi Minh Square, Municipal Theatre and the Notre Dame Cathedral. Tour the Reunification Palace and War Remnants Museum. Explore Binh Tay market and visit the ornate Thien Hau Temple. B, L

Day 10: Mekong Delta: Cai Be floating market

Early morning leave Saigon by road and drive to the Mekong Delta for an excursion on a traditional wooden boat. Tour the colourful floating market of Cai Be, then visit a historic Mandarin house dating from the 19thC. Return by car late afternoon to Ho Chi Minh City. B, L

Day 11: To Siem Reap

Morning transfer to airport for flight to Siem Reap. Afternoon visit Angkor Wat, the largest temple in the world, with a volume of stone equaling that of the Cheops pyramid in Egypt. Two nights at Tara Angkor. B

Accommodation: Tara Angkor – Siem Reap

Day 12: Siem Reap: Ta Prohm and Angkor Thom

Begin the exploration of the magnificent Temples of Angkor with a tour of the enigmatic Ta Prohm at dawn. After lunch visit the ancient city of Angkor Thom. B

Day 13: Depart Siem Reap

Day at leisure. Evening transfer to airport for London flight via Ha Noi on Vietnam Airlines.
